Election Day! The 3rd-8th grade students participated in the Studies Weekly Mock Election today and had the opportunity to have their voices heard. The students votes were counted with the nearly 800,000 other student votes around the nation. At St. Francis Donald Trump won in a landslide garnering 56% of the vote while Hillary Clinton and Gary Johnson tied with 18% of the vote. Nationally, it was a different story. Hillary Clinton won the national election with nearly 100,000 more votes than Donald Trump. Clinton took 368 of the necessary 270 electoral votes to win. Below, the 7th grade class waits patiently in line to vote, Madison Zellar explains the voting process, and Savannah White sits down to vote!
